Two-Part Women’s Intro to Strength Training

Meetings: February 9 & 23 at 7:30–9pm EST via Zoom

Did you know strength training benefits your physical health and your mental health? Join Alena for this virtual, two-part introduction to strength training where you’ll cover the basics, such as: form for basic movements, materials, programming, nutrition considerations, and what you should keep in your gym bag. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have along the way!

Alena’s philosophy is that you need to begin somewhere. Strength is built over time through a series of small steps and incremental growth. Through this workshop, you’ll discover how to begin your strength-training journey and build confidence to enter the world of weightlifting, whether at home or in a gym.

You’ll be equipped with helpful information including equipment, basic nutrition and supplement needs. You’ll also be encouraged to take the next step, and empowered to walk into that next step feeling stronger and more capable to be who you have been made to be.
